Before and after

This was an oversize pullover that wasn't being worn and had been set aside for the donation box or for some re-fashioning.   Always ready for a challenge I chose to try re-fashioning it into a cardigan.  I cut the sweater up the centre front and added a band of fabric on each side, and to balance it I added the same striped fabric to the cuffs.  For accent I stitched a row of 'fagoting' along one side of each front band and on each cuff.  This stitch is my favourite and used quite often.  I had fun and am pleased with the results.
